The year is 50 BC. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely, for one small village of brave Gauls still holds out against the attackers. They thrill the hearts of millions of Asterix fans the world over.
Asterix comics are fun-filled adventures taking place during the reign of the Roman emperor Julius Caesar. A small village in Gaul is the only village to resist repeated attempts by Romans to bring it under Roman rule.

No matter what the Romans try, they always have to bite the dirt, since they are no match for the witty and cunning Gauls.
Asterix comics were created and illustrated by Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo.
These comics were originally in French. But their instant popularity got them dubbed into not only English, but just about every other language possible.
Asterix is remarkable for the good drawings and the steady good quality of the stories, as well as the wit and humour in them.
